Dr Liza Turner is a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist with a compassionate and approachable style. Drawing on extensive experience across various NHS settings, she provides treatments grounded in research, while understanding each client’s unique life journey.
In her practice, Dr Turner combines her expertise as a Clinical Psychologist and CBT therapist, integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with other models, including Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This integrative approach enables her to offer tailored, specialist therapy for clients facing diverse challenges. A central aspect of Dr Turner’s approach is guiding clients to identify and live in alignment with their core values. She has extensive experience helping individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD, as well as experiences like anxiety, depression, low mood, panic disorder, shame, health anxiety, low self-esteem, burnout, perfectionism, phobias, social anxiety, work-related stress, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Trained to a doctorate level, Dr Turner is accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). She offers a thoughtful, warm, and trauma-informed approach to mental health.
