Getting started
Your journey with London Bridge Therapy begins with a personal, complimentary phone call to match you with the therapist best suited to your unique needs. Your expert assessment then provides the foundation for carefully tailored, evidence-based therapy designed around your goals.
Initial phone consultation
Free 15-minutes
A complimentary, introductory call with our Clinic Director to begin to understand your experiences and match you with the therapist best suited to your unique needs.
Initial phone consultation
Starting therapy is an important and personal decision. We therefore offer a complimentary telephone consultation with our Clinic Director, Dr Steven Mahan-Taylor, Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
This is an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy, ask any questions you may have, and help us understand your individual needs so that we can carefully match you with the therapist best suited to you.
The relationship between you and your therapist is central to effective therapy. This initial conversation helps us make that match thoughtfully, with no cost and no obligation to proceed.
Individual assessment
£250 50-minute assessment
An in-depth first appointment to understand what has brought you to therapy, your experiences and your individual needs, forming the foundation for a carefully tailored, evidence-based approach to your therapy.
Individual assessment
Your assessment is with an experienced psychologist or psychotherapist, who will take time to understand what has brought you to therapy, the difficulties you are experiencing and what you would like to change.
You will have space to talk openly about your experiences and needs. There is no pressure to tell us everything at once; the conversation will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Alongside your therapist, you will begin to make sense of what may be contributing to your difficulties and identify what you would like therapy to help you achieve. Your therapist will then recommend a carefully tailored treatment plan, drawing on the evidence-based therapeutic approaches best suited to your individual needs.
Couples assessment
£250 50-minute assessment
£300 60-minute assessment
A first session to understand your relationship from both perspectives and identify how therapy can best support you and your relationship.
Couples assessment
Your couples therapy assessment gives both of you the opportunity to speak openly and feel heard. Your psychologist or psychotherapist will take time to understand the difficulties you are experiencing, the relationship from each of your perspectives, and what you would each like to change.
Different perspectives are expected and can be an important part of understanding what is happening between you. Your therapist provides a balanced, non-judgemental space where the focus is not on deciding who is right or wrong, but on beginning to understand the patterns and experiences shaping your relationship.
Together, you will identify what you would like couples therapy to help you achieve. Your therapist will then recommend a carefully tailored approach, drawing on evidence-based couples therapy research to meet the particular needs of your relationship.
Ongoing therapy
Fees vary according to the experience and specialism of the psychologist or psychotherapist you see. Your exact fee will always be agreed with you in advance, so you will know exactly what to expect before your first session.
Individual therapy
From £190 per 50-minute session
One-to-one therapy with your psychologist or psychotherapist, tailored to your individual needs, goals and experiences.
Individual therapy
Individual therapy, sometimes called psychological therapy, psychotherapy or counselling, is a collaborative one-to-one process shaped around you.
Sessions offer a confidential space to explore what you are carrying, understand the patterns underneath it, and build ways of coping that hold up outside the room.
Your psychologist or psychotherapist adapts their method to your history, needs and preferences, and what you are working towards is agreed together and revisited as therapy progresses.
Couples therapy
From £220 per 50-minute session
From £250 per 60-minute session
Couples therapy focused on understanding your relationship, changing unhelpful patterns and strengthening your connection.
Couples therapy
Couples therapy, also known as relationship or marriage counselling, focuses on the dynamic between both of you as partners.
Sessions are available at 50-minutes or 60-minutes. The length of your sessions will depend on your individual needs, the nature of the work you are doing together, and your psychologist or psychotherapist’s therapeutic approach and clinical recommendation.
Sessions offer a balanced, non-judgemental space where both people can speak openly and feel heard. The work may focus on improving communication, understanding the patterns underlying recurring difficulties, rebuilding trust after a rupture, and finding ways to reconnect.
