James Earl is a highly experienced and professionally qualified Relationship and Psychosexual Therapist. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Relationship Therapy and a Professional Certificate in Psychosexual Therapy from Relate, as well as a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Sussex.

 

As a registered member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT), James has worked extensively with clients across the UK and internationally. His approach is deeply collaborative, fostering a warm and trusting therapeutic environment where clients feel supported and engaged. James believes that therapy is a shared journey, where understanding the underlying dynamics of relationships is key to fostering positive change. James specialises in communication issues, rekindling desire and intimacy, recovering from affairs, and addressing sexual difficulties. Additionally, he brings a unique perspective to working with anxiety, depression, anger, and addiction through adaptive behaviour therapy. His approach integrates various therapeutic models, including Psychodynamic, Systemic, Existential, Transactional Analysis, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, allowing him to tailor treatment to meet the specific needs of each individual or couple.

He previously served as a psychosexual therapist for organisations throughout London, and spent many years as an academic, teaching philosophy at Richmond, The American International University in London. His philosophical training offers clients a unique lens on life’s deeper themes—love, loss, joy, and intimacy—providing a holistic approach to both individual and relationship therapy.
