15-minute phone consultation:

We appreciate how challenging it can be to take the step towards starting psychological therapy. It is a significant decision and we want to ensure this process is as comfortable as possible for you, which is why we offer a complimentary 15-minute telephone consultation for all prospective clients.

Our free, 15-minute telephone consultation is an opportunity for you to speak with our Clinic Director, Dr Steven Mahan-Taylor, an experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist, before committing to booking an assessment. During this brief discussion, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Introduce yourself: You will be invited to share a bit about yourself and your reasons for seeking therapy.
  • Ask questions: You will have the opportunity to ask questions you may have about therapy, the clinic, and anything else you may find helpful to discuss.
  • Explore compatibility: The conversation will allow you to assess if our approach aligns with your needs.
  • Discuss goals: You will be able to discuss your hopes and expectations for therapy.
  • Clarify logistics: You will be able to get information about any element of the practice, from fees to appointment booking.

This telephone consultation is designed to help you feel more at ease with the therapy process and to ensure that you find the right fit for your needs. We fully appreciate the most important factor in therapy is that you are able to connect with your therapist. The telephone conversation is commitment-free, and there is no obligation to continue to booking an appointment.

Psychological assessment:

(£250 for individual therapy assessment, £300 for couples therapy assessment)

The assessment begins with your psychologist taking the time to welcome you to the therapy room, introducing themselves, and to providing some information about the therapy process and outlining what you can expect from the assessment.

You’ll have the opportunity to discuss the reasons why you’re considering beginning therapy and to speak openly about any specific concerns or challenges you’re experiencing, such as anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem. You will also be asked to discuss what you hope to achieve through attending therapy.

Based on the information gathered during the assessment, your psychologist will discuss potential treatment options and recommend a personalised plan tailored to your unique needs and preferences. At London Bridge Therapy, you are guaranteed an expert assessment by a highly qualified therapist, who will draw upon a number of therapy models to create a bespoke, evidence-based treatment for you.

If you would like to speak to one of our team about an assessment, get in touch today for a free 15-minute telephone consultation.
